Lingaa is a Tamil action thriller film directed by k.s.Ravikumar,who also scripted the film 

in collaboration with the films dialogue writer Pon Kumaran.The film star Rajinikanth

 playing dual role,Jagapati babu,Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinhain the lead roles.Music 

was composed  by A.R. Rahman while Cinematography washeaded by R.Rathnavelu.This 

is slated to get released in Tamil,Telugu and Hindi Language.Principal photography commenced 

during the last week of may 2014 in mysore,immediately after the release of kochadaiiyaan.Majority 

of the filming took place in Ramoji film city.The climax portions were filmed in Shimoga.The film 

released on 12th december 2014.Conciding with Rjinikanths birthday and received positive

review from critics and mixed reviewsfrom the audience.
